Thanksgiving in L.A.

Caitlin and Brad cooked up a Thanksgiving feast for us and then we spent the weekend biking and surfing it off. The weather was sunny and temps in the 70s, a little different from the MN climate that we're used to on Thanksgiving.

It only took five and a half hours to get Thousand Oaks on the 5 on Thursday (traffic getting out of the bay area) but we took the Pacific Coast Highway (1/101) on the way home Sunday and that took seven and a half hours (super-bad traffic in San Jose). The PCH was of course more scenic as you can see below.

Montana Slim + Steve

Steve (Kyle's friend from college) was off his crab boat due to the oil spill so he came down to SF for a visit before heading to AK to visit his girlfriend.

Turi played as a guest with Montana Slim, a bluegrass jam band, and at the end of the night they asked her to officially join the band!

A delightful surprise...

A housewarming package on our doorstep this morning from my thoughtful little sister. Thanks, Leesh and Jon!

Tali comes to Cali!

The view from Point Isabel.

Tal reunited with Mad and Ches.

Ky and Tal at Fisherman's Wharf.

Maki eaters trying to become Nigiri eaters (only somewhat successful).

Lots of quality time at the dog park.

Tal and Kel with the sea lions.

So sad to leave for the airport.

Foggy

San Francisco is known for its fog, but over here in the East Bay the fog usually lifts/burns off/dissipates before we jump on our bikes in the morning. Not so today -- the view from our deck this morning and most of the day:

Bay Views from the Berkeley Hills

We just can't get enough of the views from our deck.

My Grandma Dances to the Beastie Boys

Munsterteiger weddings are parties like no other and my Grandma isn't sitting on the sidelines. A couple of shots from Aaron and Angie's late August wedding.
